Since beginning their collaboration with Caimi in early 2000, Angelotti & Cardile have brought an attitude typifying the grand tradition of Italian design into the company; all projects, even those that appear simple, must contain a series of technical solutions – technological and compositional in nature – which determine the expressive journey that leads to the end product. Indeed, every product of theirs is developed out of a precise analysis of an intersection, a flexible structure and an attentive utilisation of the selected materials – all previously subject to a series of expertly assembled wooden models and prototypes, from which an object will then start to be defined as a system. Their process encompasses design, supreme craftsmanship, attention to the market; in short, a constant exercise in trial and error until a final decision is reached together with the company. This was the genesis of the Pegaso table: an irreplaceable icon that enabled the subsequent conception of a series of additional products due to the flexibility of its design.
