Company history
Since 1949, Caimi’s production has always stood out for its versatility and heterogeneity, for the originality of its shapes and materials and for its continuous attention to technological innovation, which is testified by the numerous patents registered by the company over the years. While in the first phase of its history the company focused mainly on the market of accessories and furnishing accessories for home and community, with hundreds of different products, some of which have now become true classics, it later directed its range of action also in the furniture sector, integrating the range of products with modular shelving systems for the office, home and shop, as well as with seating lines specifically designed for waiting areas, from the companies’ reception areas to the passenger terminals. The accessories and furnishing accessories sector, which still today constitutes a fundamental part of a company’s activity, has evolved and expanded, taking due account of the trends dictated by new information technology and the growing interest in the themes of comfort and the design of liveable places and environments.
In this regard, the company has directed its scientific and technological research to the field of acoustic well-being, patenting the materials and sound absorbing technologies, SNOWSOUND, with very high performance characteristics that allow to absorb the reverberation in a differentiated way at different frequencies. In keeping with the company’s tradition, technology has been flanked by formal research to obtain sound-absorbing design objects, which bear the signature of well-known designers.

Open Lab
The Caimi Open Lab was born, a complex of laboratories designed by Caimi and specifically dedicated to theoretical and applied research in technology, acoustics, research into new materials and advanced prototyping.
